Q: I have a child that sometimes needs access to electrical power to plug in his machine for treatments. I’d like a tornado shelter with an electrical plug in, and we live in the Oklahoma City, OK area.  Is this possible?

A: Yes it is! We occasionally have tornado shelter customers ask us if it’s possible to have electric run inside their safe room, and the answer is YES! Obviously, if the storm gets strong enough power will be lost and anything electrical won’t work. But, sometimes it’s nice to have a plug-in while it lasts. We offer a 100v power outlet as an option on our website. It is a weatherproof two-outlet receptacle for power inside your safe room. The power cord plugs into any existing outlet near the tornado shelter, allowing for safe disconnect. Coaxial cable or CAT5 connections for your hard drives are also available.
