Broken Arrow, OK is participating in the FEMA safe room rebate program. This storm shelter rebate will pay up to $2000 towards a safe room that is manufactured by a company that is approved to participate in FEMA rebates. Tornado Alley Armor meets these requirements because of our NSSA membership. We have passed stringent testing and even an independent review of our design which is mandatory with the NSSA. Insist on a safe room manufactured by only NSSA members.
The Broken Arrow FEMA rebate application is still being processed, which means it could be months from now or even a year before the city of Broken Arrow’s application is approved. After a homeowner turns in their rebate paperwork it’s usually about a year before the FEMA rebate arrives.
In order to participate you must be a homeowner, not live in a floodplain, and must not purchase your storm shelter before getting awarded the rebate. The city of Broken Arrow is estimating the rebates will cover about 100 safe rooms at $2000 per safe room. Because this is still in the beginning stages of application it could realistically be 2020 before you get your rebate, if you are one of the lucky 100 to get your name drawn.
