The terms “FEMA APPROVED” or “FEMA CERTIFIED” do not exist! If a manufacturer claims this they are misleading you. FEMA does not “APPROVE”, “CERTIFY”, or “RECOMMEND” safe room manufacturers or their designs, so beware those who make this claim!

Check the “other guys”…ask them to provide documentation that their design meets or exceeds FEMA 320/361 design standards for safe room construction.
