Standard Door with Locking Handle
Our standard safe room door has a key lock mechanism built into the outside handle. It provides nominal locking of the handle but should not be considered adequate for the reasonable security of valuables locked inside. All doors, including the upgraded versions below, have this key-lockable handle on the outside. All doors include four custom tamper proof hinges. When closed the hinges cannot be separated.
A separate latch lock locking plate on the internal latch control is used to mechanically disable the outside latch mechanism. When engaged it prevents the outside handle from unlatching the door when the safe room is occupied. This is a critical protection when storm debris is impacting the outside handle. It also prevents intruders from opening the latch int he events of a home invasion.
Premium Security Door with Schlage Deadbolts
Our Premium Security Door includes the addition of two Schlage Deadbolts which provide ANSI Grade 1 professional grade security. It features two single cylinder deadbolts, keyed alike on the outside and manual open from inside. Large latch/bolt size offers significant resistance to opening, bringing the total latch points to five. Anti-pick shield. Low-Profile face cannot be unscrewed and is impossible to grasp with a wrench. Allows double deadbolt security from inside or outside. Ideal for dual use property safe & panic room.
