This great mini dehumidifier is perfect for use in safes and security cabinets. It absorbs excess moisture without having to drill holes or run electrical cords through your safe room or security cabinet walls. It doesn’t even require batteries! When plugged in for regeneration, the moisture-absorbing dessicant is dried by a low wattage heater inside the unit, driving the moisture out of the dessicant and restoring it for another cycle of use.
The moisture gauge on the front of the dehumidifier indicates when it needs to be regenerated. It can pull excess moisture from 100 cubic feet for 4 – 6 weeks before it needs to be regenerated. In our 6.7 cubic foot Security Cabinet the dehumidifier should last 6-12 months between regeneration cycles, but the moisture indicator should be checked monthly until actual performance is determined.
Recharging is easy, just plug it into a standard electrical outlet overnight and this cordless humidifier is ready to go.
