That depends on who you ask.

Meteorologists from AccuWeather are calling for “more than double the average number of tornadoes in the U.S.” for the month of March in 2020 and a dramatic increase of “10 to 30 percent more tornadoes than average in May.”

Others, like chief meteorologist Rick Mitchell, (KXAS-TV) say that your focus should be more on safety and preparing for storms than on articles that are likely just trying to get “clicks.” He continues to say that you can make “sure you are prepared by having a severe-weather plan in place. Know where you will take shelter and practice your plan with your family. By doing that, you will have taken actual steps to have a safe severe-weather season.”

So, while no one can say with certainty if there will be more tornadoes to take shelter from this year than in the past, make sure you do it safely in a storm shelter from Tornado Alley Armor Safe Rooms. Call us toll free 7 days a week for help- 918-518-1551.
